Today on Doki Doki Literature Club we finally get a shot at happiness now that Monika is deleted! Starting everything over without Monika has us playing in the most happiest playthrough we've had yet. No fights, no strange happenings, no crazy at all, things just work. The best part is the new president Sayori is here! But then again.. it turns out to be the worst possible news since she now has all self-awareness and memories of what Monika did and is bent on doing the exact same thing. Things went from happy to crazy again.
Fortunately, well unfortunate Monika appeared again and began deleting the entire world and I mean the entire world. And as a finale she finally performed for us the song shes been working on through a gallery of still images of what could have been if I did things right.
The world of Doki Doki Literature Club was deleted and I had no choice but to leave it behind. Or did I?

Today on Doki Doki Literature Club we come to the end of it all, the days of happiness and crazy are behind us as we spend eternity with the mysterious force that has been ruining the lives of everyone since we began.
We begin as usual writing our poem and when we're done we appear inside the Literature Club where everyone is waiting. Yuri's obsession with us is increasing and we're left feeling like something bad is going to happen today. So just like yesterday she leaves to fill a pitcher of water and again she takes awhile to return. Vault being the gigantic fool that he is goes to look for her. We find the same scene for us again and again we rewind but this time we're in the hallway where Yuri admits her obsession.
Everything becomes horrifying from this point onward as during Yuri's speech Monika fades into existence and before we know it we're back inside the club with Yuri as if nothing has every happened. Next up we do some poem reading, usually I love this but today things we're just scary.
We start off reading Natsuki's who doesn't bother to read our suck up Yuri poem (she got us there) and when we read her's we see it's actually a letter trying to convince us to help Yuri because of her insane attitude. All of the sudden things glitch and Natsuki is faceless trying to convince us to forget everything we just read and let things play out as they always have been. Spooked.. we press onto Monika. All she had to say was "Don't say I didn't warn you, Vault.." from here, it was guaranteed things were going to get bad.
Yuri was the last one up and after taking our poem and becoming very "INTIMATE" with it as well as our missing pen.. We then take her poem and read it.. well try to, I coudn't make out any of the crazy words under the sweat and blood stains on the paper. She freaks out after, running off to vomit and we're given a yes or no choice. No question, just a choice. We choose yes and we get to see Sayori again and not in the way we wanted too.
Afterwards, Monika appears and tells us that we'll be going to get to work on the festival. You know the drill by now. The difference this time is that Yuri's obssession has reached its peak and she forces Monika and Natsuki away. Here she confesses! And we accept it, and watch as she.. well, you can guess.. we're left watching her body for days when Natsuki comes in, see's Yuri and runs off vomitting. Monika appears and shrugs it off. She deletes everything (literally) since she is the mysterious force ruining our lives.
Once everything is gone we're left alone in the Literature Club to talk to Monika for all eternity. Can we escape? And if so, how?

Today on Doki Doki Literature Club we stop and wonder to ourselves, "why is everything going wrong?" From the good old days before Sayori died to this day where everyone seems to be hyper sensitive! Things just aren't right anymore and we're smack-dab in the middle of it.
We've begun working another poem which we already know what we need to pick to impress Yuri. At school things are better, Yuri seems to have calmed down with her super heightened obsession with us. Afterwards we talk and she pulls us to the closet to tell us that that was not normal for her and then Natsuki appeared with her memories of the insane argument apparently non-existent (I'm getting chills typing this..). Soon after Monika appears and we all go our separate ways except Yuri and Vault sit together to read that horror book.
Yuri agains becomes obsessive to the point where we are terrified as she drags us into the closet to be "near" and "intimate", this was a creepy moment. Monika saves us from this, thankfully. Poem readings begin at this moment.
Natsuki hates us again and won't bother to show us her poem, Monika still shows us her normal poem and Yuri writes the most unsettling poem to date.
Monika then tells us that the school festival will be beginning soon and Natsuki will not even attempt to help while Yuri takes the mature approach. Natsuki runs off and we get to see the crazy in Yuri's mind.
Finally, we end with Monika sending Yuri home while she talks to "us."
Are you scared?

Today on Doki Doki Literature Club, the whole world is going crazy! That is not a overexaggeration, that is the absolute truth. After that sudden end to the madness in the last episode we appeared inside our home already writing the next poem. We of course will still chase Yuri but this time if given the chance we will make sure Natsuki survives, I mean come on, that's just the way things look to be going, her eyes popped out last episode.. remember that? I sure do.
In this episode we end up going through the motions we went through last time. We even get the same book we got last time from Yuri, but this time it's a little bit different, and by a little bit I'm really mean a lot. This book is not about a girl who finds her long lost sister and from thereon her entire life goes into a downward spiral of pain. No, this book is about a religious cult that goes on doing dark and evil ritualistic things. That watered down description is a drop in the bucket of crazy.
After sitting with Yuri like before she runs off and disappears for quite some time so Monika decides that we'll all share poems while we wait. Natsuki was the same and that includes her poem, but Monika seemed different, like she knew something we didn't. Her poem also felt different, though similar. After the exchange Yuri appears and we go on to share our poems.
Everything goes swimmingly, that is, until Yuri and Natuski share there poems with one another. Remember how Natsuki said Yuri's boobs grew since Vault came into the club? Remember how funny we all thought it was? Those were the good ol' days and now it's gone. Things we south and I mean down to hell south after that line and Natsuki even went so far as to tell Yuri to "CONTINUE" cutting herself! What the actual F!. If you couldn't tell how scared, creeped out, worried, what have you, that I was then let me spell it out, S-C-A-R-E-D, C-R-E-E-P-E-D O-U-T! Legit.
Monika saved us though by taking us out into the hall and seemed to appear off the background and instead talking to us directly, it was weird and can't be explained here, you'll have to watch that part to understand. Natuski then rushes out of the class in tears and I genuinely felt sad. We go back into the class and Yuri is huddle by her desk chanting "I didn't mean it.." weird..
The end of the episode had Monika ending the day but Yuri wanted Vault to stay for some creepy reason even against Monika's insistence that Yuri should leave. The sudden cut that happened next shocked me.
And that was it, was it crazy? Will I get nightmares? Am I a giant chicken? Yes, to all.

Today on Doki Doki Literature Club the worst mistake I've ever made is shown. That includes the consequences of it too.. Sayoria is d--- and the worst thing is, my save file has disappeared and we're forced to live our life starting at the beginning but this time it's different. Sayori is erased, completely.
As for the rest of everything.. I now understand why everyone was saying this game is dark, it's begun and now I'm genuinely nervous/scared about what's coming.

Today on Doki Doki Literature Club this time the journey to dark and twisted begins. So, as I suspected from the last episode, Yuri's comments became real in this one.
Before we meet with Yuri we head on over to Sayoris' home to check in on her. When we get there she is in her room and we learn a terrible truth. She suffers from depression and decided that her life is not worth anything. Her efforts are made to always put others in a good mood. Throughout that I have to admit that this was a sensitive moment and I had to stop recording for a bit.
Afterwards we had to return back to Vaults' home and meet up with Yuri to complete the work for the school festival. Once we returned we met Yuri who was standing in front of the house and from there we began our work. The upside to this episode was that Yuri and Vault appear to be becoming more intimate, you'll see what I mean when you watch it.
The end of the episode was something that I wish we didn't have to see. It was dark and twisted and will make you feel bummed out about things. I also had to make a choice which I regret and hope that it was actually the right one.

Today on Doki Doki Literature Club we have to ask ourselves, "are things getting darker?" I say this because near the end Yuri specifically says "..stagnating air is a sign something bad is about to happen.." I don't think I'm ready for it yet.
On a lighter note we did the usual after school activity. We entered the Literature Club and again, Monika was late, I wonder what's she's been up to.. later on we shared our poems with Sayori, Monika and Yuri, notice how I didn't mention Natsuki? That's because she still despises us and won't even bother reading our poem.
Now the main problem is Sayori. You may remember that we decided the say I would walk home with Yuri last episode. Well that's apparently having an effect where Sayori is now sad. Something I didn't want to do but ended up happening. She left Literature Club early because of this. I would've liked to have walked her home.
Further along Monika starts to assign work for us for the festival. Natsuki will work on baking cupcakes, Monika and Sayori will handle the pamphlet design and printing and Yuri will be working on improving the atmosphere using her artistic skills. We then needed to choose who we would work with. Obviously we chose Yuri and Natsuki showed absolute hatred to us for that.
We exchange of phone numbers between Yuri and Vault and hopefully things take a lighter tone in the next episode, but something tells me that won't be the case.

Today on Doki Doki Literature Club, the dreaded school festival approaches. But before that, we have some poems to read share. Sayori and Monika enjoy our poems, Yuri is absolutely enthralled by our amazing ability to write poems and Natsuki definitely despises us! Still unsure why but maybe one day we'll find out.
The second half featured news of the school festival where the Literature Club is going to be attending. But, they're also going to be holding poetry reading performances to bolster their member ranks. It's a good idea but since Yuri and Natsuki are not the most outspoken of people it will be hard to make them perform.
Finally, we've been put on the spot by Sayori. At the end of the day she asks, "if Yuri asked to walk home with Vault one day, what would he say?" This question broke me, everyone.

Our relationship with Yuri is now growing to the point where we can shove chocolate into each other's mouth. Awkwardly.
We also shared our poem with Sayori, who absolutely loved it by the way! And her poem was downright amazing! Natsuki on the other hand, as to be expected, thrashed us hard! If we ever wanted to get on her good side, I think that ship has sailed.

Even though we chose Yuri over Natsuki in the fight we still have to move on so Vault did just that. I personally dislike the outcome but things seem to be smoothed over. This time around Yuri flexs her muscle to my honest shock and awe, wowza.
Last time we were huddled up next to Yuri while reading a book. Next we shared our poem with Natsuki, Sayori and Monika and they all liked it except for Natsuki who was incredibly critical of it. We're good now though. This time we'll be sharing our poem with Yuri who may or may not like it. Oh, and expect a humorous spat between Natsuki and Yuri which IRL made me laugh.
Today we'll be getting to know Yuri a little bit better and creating an atmosphere that will ellict the romantic mood. Half way through we'll be reading the poems the Natsuki, Sayori and Monika wrote which in my honest opinion were all good even Natsukis' blunt writing had a charming ring to it.
After the first episode I gather that the crazy won't happen anytime soon since everything seems so normal (by anime standards). We finished our poem which was created with impressing Yuri (this time anyways) and guess what. When Literature Club started she gave us a book! What a nice girl.
Here we are, late to the party as is my usual norm. So this game has gotten tons of hype these last few months (I suppose) but I haven't had any inkling to play this. But this last week I got curious about it and I thought hey, why not? So I downloaded it and gave it a shot.
It started off doing the usual cozy anime thing. Introducing the protagonist who's a non-chalant dude who has a beautiful friend who cares about him more than he does and she brings him into a club with more beautiful girls. See the anime trend? Basically I have no problem with this as long as it works. So does it work? Maybe we just started (duh).
So I know only these things for certain: the games goes from cozy to downright wtf, the girls are nuts and.. okay that's it, so so far nada. Really this isn't so bad. Lets see if that holds up.
